IMARC brings together the full spectrum of the reptile trade - from farmers and tanneries to researchers, range states and conservation bodies - under a single governance framework built on shared accountability.

Members engage with IMARC for resources, scientific support and outreach. A board drawn from both business and honorary members sets strategic direction, supported by a chair and scientific director. Day-to-day operations and member support are carried out by the secretariat.
